Hunters in Cataclysm, pvp

First of all thanks to wowbox.ro for they beta key.

Lets start with focus. The global cooldown has been reduced and now playing the hunter feels like playing the rogue, we can spam arcane shot for example until out of focus, that is 3-4 shots in 3-4 seconds.

Beastmaster is dead, no longer removes cc when activated, if a rogue stuns you, bw is useless.
The pet can be cced even if he has bestial wrath activated, again useless.

Focus management is complex, we can kite as we do now, and spam shot. The playstyle seems quite the same, the stamina has been increased, a full pve geared mage now gets aroundhttp://femaledwarf.prettypls.com/ 28k hp in cataclysm.

Not sure why, but my char had still 33k in full pvp gear, so they are still working to scale stats.

Overall hunters in pvp feels good, the reduced global cooldown, focus (no mana issues now), just smart management, is definitely not a big fail, as everyone said it will be.

Other things about cataclysm, the graphics are AWESOME, the water looks eyecandy, with pixel shader, would be a pleasure to go fishing. Everything has more details, it will require more hardware power though.

Still lots of things don`t work, and the most annoying thing are the crashes, the game crashes every 10 minutes, sometimes takes longer.

I will test my hunter in pvp more and post my opinions, is hard to find pvpers though.

Update on big blue bug

It has been nerfed, I got a key for beta and tested it, the pet now looks the same as the others.

Big Blue Bug

Get on the horses and let’s rush to tanaris.
If you remember there is an area with those annoying bugs on north, aliens or how are they called.
There is a mob inside their nest, a rare one that can be tamed, and he will have his appearance changed in cataclysm, looking very big and cool, however in cataclysm it will be untamable, so if you get it now, you will get it with the changed skins as cata is out. But that if blizzard does not take measures and nerf the fun.

There is a spot where you can camp, where the mob will spawn, it is rare and will be a nice hunt.

Better than beastcleave, brutalcleave

Beastmaster hunter and prot warrior is a good combo as my mate and me managed to reach 1800 last week.
It is an insane burst vs clueless players, mostly a rogue without deflection will die in 3-4 seconds.

The anti class are the paladins because of the bubble, druids, because interrupts don`t really matter and we need to over dmg his healing.

However rogue mage is easy, a game where is a rogue is 80-90 a win, and there are many.

Prot warriors seems to be very annoying, having stuns and stuff, also very high survivability.

So if you manage to get 55% win rate you can get to 1800.

As tactic it is mainly a burst rush, the warrior should charge stun the target, pop bestial wrath and everything else, vs rogues, he will open most likely on you, hunter, when that pop bestial wrath and start the nuke.

As pet, either corehound or a wolf for AP buff you and the warrior.

Good luck as enhancement shamans are very hard to find to get a decent beastcleave.

Kingslayer finally

Finally got the title, from 10 men normal, more than decent fight with the right group, thanks Rage from Steamwheedle Cartel, my awesome guild.

Starcraft 2 review

A symphony of frost and flame, that was the title of the last mission of warcraft 3, and after followed a sad period of time without any game to play by Blizzard.
Now, if Blizzard will release a game each month, we don`t need other games to play, good that we have wow.
It was in 2002 when I first played starcraft, a science fiction rts, with decent graphics back there, when the 800/600 resolution was a luxury.
Two weeks ago, Blizzard launched the long awaited Starcraft2, after 10 years from the previous Starcraft.
The gaming competitions stayed the same, there is still played counterstrike, starcraft1, warcraft3, now and DotA, a warcraft3 map, unreal tournament and so on. Now we got Starcraft2, with today`s graphics, and not such a revolutionary gameplay, talking about multiplayer.

But I bet you are here to read about the singleplayer campaign, so the first warning is that in Starcraft2, Wings of Liberty you can only play the terrain campaign, with Jim Raynor, Protoss and Zerglings are left for the expansion.
We don’t have heroes, items like we had in Warcraft 3, and that isn`t so great, at least they could add Jim Raynor gaining level and items, ofc some players don`t want that, they just being interested in pure strategy.
I respect those opinions but without heroes, the game was pretty boring after the first 7-8 missions, and the things that kept me playing it until the end was the good quality, graphics, interface and sadly that sums up the reasons.

The best missions were the ones where the player needs to defend a base, an objective, there are few, very very cool missions, getting tanks strategically to keep an aye on everything from far range.
The character`s voices are well played, some will recognise the black guy, as the one from Oz, or Lost series. Jimmy and the company, excellent work in this department, also the game interface, graphics and overall quality its 10/10, Blizzard feeling.

To draw the line, the game receives from me 9/10, a must play for every gamer, even casual gamers will like it.
Not 10/10 because it didn`t had the wow feeling I had when playing warcraft 3, but it`s a good game, some people like fantasy more than science fiction.

As today the Starcraft 2 is being released, already 800.000 people preordered the game, and for little info Blizzard invested around 11.000.000 $ to create this game.
To download Starcraft 2 full game, is easy, just login into your battle.net account and there you can add the game, as if you already have a key, then the game will appear with a download link.
The download the game, install it, and you are ready to play. Also battle.net system will be available.
You basically don’t need the game dvd to install it, as we can now download world of warcraft directly from battle.net.
